In November, Homer Brink Elementary School was the recipient of a sponsorship from Visions Federal Credit Union for Morning STEAM Tubs! The grant enabled the purchase of STEAM bins for the students to use for awesome new projects. Second grade teacher Jackie Hennessey said, "the bins are up and running and I think we have some future engineers."
Each bin has a specific task, which is also linked to a growth mindset word such as "perseverance", "patience", "improvement". The bins get rotated around all 6 second grade classrooms-that's 120 students that benefit!
