Special Education

Vanessa DuBrava

The Maine-Endwell District offers a comprehensive continuum of Special Education and Related Services to meet the needs of students with learning differences. Our district’s offerings include, but are not limited to, Consultant Teacher Services, Resource Room, Special Classes and Related Services.

The district’s beliefs regarding special education services are firmly grounded in a commitment to developing supports for students in their home schools in an integrated, least restrictive environment, as much as is appropriate for individual students. The district also utilizes community placements off the M- E campus for those students who need such supports.

Our Special Education Services are designed to facilitate learning that allows our students access to curriculum leading toward a New York State Regents diploma. Our goal for all of our students is to obtain the academic, community, vocational, daily living and social skills to achieve a satisfying adulthood as a contributing citizen within their community.
