Congratulations to the following students on being accepted into the 2022 ACDA Eastern Honor Choirs!
Erin Hatton - Junior High School Honor Choir
Lucas Bernhauer and Grace Metcalf - High School Honor Choir
ACDA stands for the American Choral Directors Association. These students will spend four days in Boston preparing music with students from all over the Eastern region of the United States with world renown conductors. Wednesday through Friday they will rehearse a total of 17 1/2 hours, with dress rehearsals and concerts on Saturday. They will spend time learning their parts on their own before attending the conference.
In addition to chaperoning, Mrs. Ruffo will also partake in one of the four Directors' Choruses. She will be part of a treble choir performing with Dr. Sandra Snow, rehearsing for a total of 6 hours in addition to attending workshops. As a bonus, each chorus has commissioned a work that it will premier in a final concert as well on Saturday.
