Michael Senio

Maine-Endwell CSD welcomes Michael Senio as its School Resource Officer. As SRO, Officer Senio will be helping keep our schools safe. He says “As an SRO, I want to be approachable. I can wear 3 basic “hats” (security of the school, informal mentor and guest speaker). I wish to help with overall school safety in all 4 buildings of the district, in addition to the great work done by the Broome County Sheriff’s Office. I will be visible and approachable, but will not be wearing a police uniform”.

Officer Senio grew up locally and graduated from Syracuse University. He coaches youth lacrosse and basketball for M-E and is “vested in this district and community”. A recently retired City of Binghamton Police Captain, his professional background includes patrol division supervisor, community policing and special investigations. In addition, Officer Senio has attended reality-based active shooter training and ALERRT (Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training).

He looks forward to bringing his law enforcement skills to MECSD and says “Overall, this community is great and I’m glad to help out in any way needed”.
