The Homer Brink 5th grade team organized a Career Exploration Event for all 5th graders. The following careers and individuals attended the event; Dave Sonner, who is an engineer, Katy Repetto, who is a creative director and rug designer, Tim Strong, who is a director of branding and public relations, Rosie Jones, who is a registered nurse, and Justin Cortright, who is a hot air balloon pilot. The students rotated through each presentation throughout the morning and had the opportunity for various hands-on activities for each of the careers. The students were challenged with thinking about what they are good at to help them think about what they might want to do in the future.
