Bev Kirkegaard Class of 63' and secretary of M-E Half Century Scholarship committee, Kortnee Gilmore 11th grade US History Teacher, Michael Koehler-Library Media Specialist, and Chip Kinne Class of 64' and Chairperson for the M-E Half Century Scholarship committee.

Bev and Chip, on behalf of the family of Charles Miller and the M-E Half Century Scholarship committee, present a class set of the "Kriegie Memories" to Miss Gilmore's US History class to integrate into her WWII curriculum. This autobiographical memoir of Charles R. Miller depicts his life and legacy as the first principal of Maine Endwell Central Schools, and as a decorated WWII veteran and POW. Miss Gilmore and the Maine-Endwell Central Schools are very thankful to Diane and Bud (Charles) Ames who so graciously donated these materials. This donation is a part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the first graduating class, the 62nd anniversary of the opening of the high school in January 1961, and the Town of Maine demisemiseptcentennial.
