All 4th grade students from Homer Brink attended a concert at Binghamton University's Anderson Center on March 7th to see Binghamton Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO) under the direction of Mr. Barry Peters. BYSO is made up of local area high school students and they are currently in their 62nd season! Mr. Peters gave an overview of the four families in the orchestra and a few students from HB were invited to conduct the ensemble. One of our young friends Gannon, even played a few percussion instruments! Both students and teachers enjoyed listening to selections from “The Greatest Showman” and John Philip Sousa. A special thank you to the ladies from “The Dance Connection” for rounding out the performance, with a beautiful performance from “The Nutcracker”.
