The Maine Endwell Varsity Tennis Team participated in the Section IV playoffs on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the Johnson City High School Tennis Courts. From left to right these players represented the Spartans Tennis Team: Olivia Acly (senior-second singles), Grace Van Auken (junior-first doubles), Kate Martin (junior-first singles), Ilona Campbell (freshman- second doubles), Ashley Albertson (sophomore-first doubles), and Rachel Dekin (sophomore-second doubles). As a team the girls were Section IV Class B runner up, just edged out 36-34 by Vestal. Individually, Olivia Acly placed fourth overall in singles, while duo Ilona Campbell and Rachel Dekin also placed fourth overall for doubles. Kate Martin had a clean sweep going 3-0 for the section tournament and placing first in singles. Good luck to Kate, who will continue to play in the State Qualifiers on Friday. With all but one of these ladies returning and a crew of promising underclassmen the Spartan's Girls Tennis Program looks bright. Way to go ladies!
