Congratulations to M-E High School teacher Christina Kratky, who was named the Launch Pad Advisor of the Year for 2020-2021! Launch Pad: The Greater Binghamton Start-up Challenge was created by Modern Marketing & Commerce to encourage high school students to develop business ideas that directly impact our community. It is a free semester long program that allows participants the opportunity to win scholarship money and/or internships.
The Launch Pad Advisor of the Year is an individual who, in their service as an advisor:
• Showed excellence in performance as an advisor, as reflected in student performance and quality of work submitted.
• Helped students overcome challenges, turning adversity into opportunity.
• Demonstrated outstanding dedication to and advancement of the Launch Pad program.
Christina was responsible for managing students as they formed teams and presented their business ideas. Throughout the year she guided them as they learned what it takes to start a business.
