Last week Mrs. Hennessey's and Mrs. Thorner's classes wrote letters to Veterans who will be participating in the Twin Tiers Honor Flight.
On November 6, the Twin Tiers Honor Flight is taking a large group of Veterans on a trip to Washington DC. The Honor Flight has been taking Veterans on these trips for many years and it is a wonderful experience for the Veterans. One of the special things that they do, on the trip, is a "Mail Call". During Mail Call, the Veterans receive letters, cards, and pictures that children make thanking them for their service. It is one of the Veterans favorite activities and many become emotional when reading them.
