The Middle School PE department supports the American Heart Association by participating in the American Heart Challenge, which they've done for the past 20 years. Students learn about the importance of eating healthy, exercising daily and making healthy choices. They also participate in a day of challenges to raise awareness. Students win prizes for jump roping events and basketball challenges. At the conclusion of class, students have a drink of Gatorade. As of April 19, MEMS students have raised $1200 dollars. The top 5 students that raise monetary donations will receive an extra bonus gift card for their tremendous dedication.
