Last night, the Board of Education approved the District Strategic Plan (it will be shared in a separate email). Beginning in November, the district has been discussing how best to utilize time within the district. Discussions have centered around start / end times, and time within the day. This work has been incorporated into the strategic planning process.
The link below is for a Thoughtexchange (we have utilized the tool various times over the years), a tool used for collecting thoughts and giving others an opportunity to review what others are thinking and ‘rate’ them.
The purpose of this Thoughtexchange is to give our school community an opportunity to (a) share their thoughts, opinions, ideas about how we can utilize time differently and (b) help the district identify areas of concern or investigation that may not have been considered. A very important distinction – this is not a request to see if people support the study – rather, an opportunity to give stakeholders input and a voice within the process.
