FIELD TRIP: Students from Homer Brink's HBTV Media Club had the opportunity to tour WSKG Public TV & Radio yesterday! The club, advised by Mr. Norton and Mrs. Norkaitis, learned about how to create a television show, behind the scenes of radio programming and how WSKG's Digital Media Department operates! The station provided pizza and a viewing of one of their shows to end the day!

100 DROPS OF WATER: Students in Mrs. Kuzel's 1st Grade HB Class worked on an activity today involving 100 Drops of Water! Each table was given an empty cup and another equal in size but filled with water.
Students were instructed to take turns with their partners, squeezing out 5 drops of water using the eye dropper. They were to continue doing this until they had 20 groups of 5 tallies, adding up to 100 drops of water.
(Currently they are working on a measurement unit making tally's, bar graphs, and pictographs).
Then they drew the actual amount of water in the other cup on their paper so they could compare the amounts. Finally, they answered the question below on their paper as to if their prediction was more, less, or equal to the actual amount they squeezed out.

100 DAYS OF SCHOOL: Students at Homer Brink are celebrating their 100 Days Of School today!
