2023 New York All-State Conference
The Maine-Endwell school community is very proud to announce our student members in the 2023 NYSSMA All-State Conference and Festival in Rochester, NY November 30- December 3, 2023. The NYSSMA All-State Conference is a prestigious festival comprised of the “best of the best” student musicians in New York State; the All-State experience in New York is considered to be one of the highest of all honors for music. Once again, Maine-Endwell High School will be represented by students who have been chosen from among thousands of applicants across the state for their acceptance to this highly prestigious honor. Congratulations to the following:
Lucas Bernhauer, Mixed Chorus, Tenor I
Kailey Labrecque, Symphonic Band, Flute (alternate piccolo)
Katherine Martin, Symphonic Orchestra, French Horn
Alternates: Hannah Serfass, Alternate, Soprano I
These students earned this honor based on their All-State audition, which required an exemplary level of performance on a Level 6 (most difficult) solo at the 2023 Spring NYSSMA Solo Festival. The All-State ensembles will rehearse several musical selections with other students from across New York State, under the direction of internationally known guest conductors. The festival concludes with a combined concert at the famed Eastman School of Music. Congratulations to these students and their families for this extraordinary achievement!
