Philosophy

Technology Education fosters the development of creativity, critical thinking and technological literacy in all students through activity-based experiences and the study of the human-made world. Technology Education is a constantly changing field and the demands that are being placed on our students need to be addressed. Technology Education are the "T" and "E" in "STEM" with the Technology AND Engineering being addressed.

Bio

Mr. Beard is a Maine-Endwell graduate. He attended Oswego State to earn his B.S. and M.S. in Technology Education. Mr. Beard is involved in the Technology & Engineering Educators Associations at the local (STTEEA), state (NYSTEEA), and international (ITEEA) levels. He has been the region's Technology Education teacher of the year (2011) and is part of the award winning team of Mr. Keenan and Mr. Beard to be New York State's Program of Excellence for 2019. They were honored to represent New York State at the 2020 ITEEA conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Beard is also a NYS Master Teacher.
