mock trial team

Interested in studying law or working in the legal field?  Maine-Endwell High School has a meaningful educational experience for you: Mock Trial.  Led by social studies teacher, Kortnee Gilmore, students assume the role of attorney(s) to research, defend, and ultimately try and win a predetermined case by convincing a jury of professionals in the field.  The team takes on roles as lawyers and witnesses, develops a line of questioning and persona to match each witness to present it as if it was a true court case. Students work with Miss Gilmore and two lawyer advisors from HH&K.  Since March, the team has competed and won the local (Broome County) competition and regional (Region 2) competition.  They are now competing against seven regional champions across the state with the hope of becoming NYS Champions.
