The 2026-2027 school year brings leadership changes throughout the Maine-Endwell Central School District, welcoming familiar faces into new roles, along with new names to the district, while celebrating the retirement of a longtime Spartan leader. We are excited to introduce the individuals who will begin the 2026-2027 school year serving students and families in new leadership capacities.
After more than 35 years of dedicated service to the Maine-Endwell community, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Julie Gallagher has officially retired. Throughout her career, Mrs. Gallagher left an incredible legacy across the district, touching countless students, staff members, and families through her dedication to education and the community.

While her professional career may be coming to a close, her connection to Maine-Endwell certainly is not. Julie will always bleed blue and gold, and you can still find her cheering on the Spartans at football games and various school events. We are incredibly grateful for her decades of service to our district.
Stepping into the role of Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment is a familiar face - Mark Wilson. Mr. Wilson has served as High School Principal for the past four years and will now bring his experience and leadership to the district level.

“I’m honored to continue serving the Maine-Endwell community in my new role as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. The past four years as principal of Maine-Endwell High School have been incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such dedicated staff, amazing students, and supportive families. As I transition into this new position, I look forward to partnering with our staff, students, families, and the broader Maine-Endwell community as we continue working together to deliver a premier educational experience to each student,” said Wilson.
Taking over as Principal of Maine-Endwell High School is yet another familiar face - Erica Staiger, who has served as Associate Principal since 2022. Mrs. Staiger brings extensive experience within the district and a deep understanding of the students, staff, and community she will continue to lead.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of principal. Serving as Associate Principal since 2022 has given me the opportunity to be part of the strong foundation we’ve built together. Maine-Endwell High School is truly a special place, and I feel so fortunate to be part of this community. I am committed to continuing that work by supporting our students, strengthening our culture, and collaborating with our staff and community to ensure every student succeeds,” said Staiger.
Before becoming a Spartan, Mrs. Staiger taught science and coached volleyball and track at Owego Free Academy.
Taking over as Associate Principal of Maine-Endwell High School is Maura Ingraham. Ms. Ingraham previously taught at BOCES West Learning Center and has also served as a volunteer coach for the Maine-Endwell Field Hockey team for many years.

“Spartan pride is truly unlike any other, uniting our students, families, and community,” said Ingraham.
Outside of school, Ms. Ingraham is an avid golfer, passionate sports fan, and enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Louie and Tully.
“I am beyond thrilled to join the Spartan community and am looking forward to the upcoming school year,” said Ingraham.
Maine Memorial Elementary School also welcomes a new building principal - Kristin Kashuba. Mrs. Kashuba brings more than 15 years of experience in public education and a strong commitment to building positive relationships that support student success.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Kashuba has worked to create inclusive, student-centered learning environments while fostering strong partnerships with families, staff, and community organizations.
“I am passionate about creating a positive school culture where both students and staff feel safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. I am very excited to begin my Spartan journey at Maine Memorial Elementary,” said Kashuba.
Mrs. Kashuba lives in Marathon with her family. Her oldest son recently graduated high school and will attend SUNY Cortland in the fall, while her younger son will begin his sophomore year of high school.
We are excited to welcome our new leaders into the 2026-2027 school year while celebrating the incredible contributions of those who have helped make Maine-Endwell the special community it is today. Their experience, dedication, and commitment to students will continue to be a tremendous asset to our district.
