Maine-Endwell field hockey two-time state champion, Samantha Palmer, signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her athletic and academic career at Ohio State University during a ceremony on Nov. 25 at the High School.
In addition to leading her team to back to back state championships, Sam was a First Team All Section in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, Second Team All Region 2017, First Team All Region 2018, First Team All State 2018, 2019, and NYS All Tournament Team 2017, 2018, 2019.
In her school and community, Sam is a member of National Honor Society, Vice President of the Class of 2020, a member of Girls Varsity Club, plays Varsity Lacrosse and she is a member of the Youth Mentoring Program at Homer Brink Elementary. She shares her athletic talents with younger players as a volunteer for the district’s youth Field Hockey program, she is a Broome County Arts Council contributor.
Sam excels academically. She has been named a NYS Scholar Athlete (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), is an honor roll student, and achieved Gold and Silver Academic Awards.
Sam is undecided about her major at this time.
