HB 3rd grade teacher, Briana Burghardt, is the META/Liberty Mutual February Teacher of the Month
When it comes to giving it her all, Briana Burghardt does just that. Always willing to jump in and lead the way in support of her fellow Spartans, Ms. Burghardt’s dedication to her community, and expertise in the classroom are the reasons why this Homer Brink third grade teacher is the February META/Liberty Mutual Teacher of the Month!
“She puts 150 percent into every single thing she does,” said Bobbi-Jo Ocker, special education teacher at the Middle School and former colleague at Homer Brink. “Bri Burghardt goes above and beyond every single day.”
Whether is it is planning Think Tank activities, or innovative and creative lessons in her classroom, to coaching, to planning activities for the community, Ms. Burghardt’s commitment to her Spartan Community is evident.
“She does SO much,” said Mrs. Ocker. “We are lucky to have her as a teacher in the district.”
Each month Liberty Mutual honors excellence in teaching within our district with the Teacher of the Month award. The award, sponsored by the Maine-Endwell Teachers Association, is given to a staff member who demonstrates the following leadership qualities: professionalism and excellence in and out of the classroom; commitment to the well-being of students; high ethical standards; and civic and charitable stewardship. Award winners will be nominated by their peers.
