Students participate in virtual US History Showcase
High School students in the school’s college-level/credit Fast Forward US History class combined their knowledge, research and technology to create their culminating course project, a virtual US History Showcase.
The students used a variety of mediums to demonstrate their knowledge on a topic of their choice. Students had to get creative with the way they delivered their presentation because the event is typically held with displays and presentations on an evening at the HS.
The students traded in display boards for podcasts, websites, animation, videos, blogs and more. Altogether, there are 41 virtual projects in this year’s showcase. Students’ projects include topics around human rights, politics, entertainment, sports, NYS history and more.
The class invites you to check out their work on the this website: US History Showcase.
