Maine-Endwell was honored to welcome educators from across the state to our Mindfully Digital conference. Over two days, the district showcased its use of technology with a purpose.
On day 1 (Oct. 10), participants visited district schools and interacted with students and teachers who demonstrated how they use technology in the classroom. At each building, students served as ambassadors and later participated in a student panel discussion about their experiences with technology in the academic setting.
Day 2 of the district’s Mindfully Digital Conference featured guest keynote speaker Devorah Heitner, PhD, the author of “Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in Their Digital World.” She spoke to Maine-Endwell staff and educators from other districts about ways to adapt teaching, along with student and parent engagement, in the digital age.
Throughout the day, breakout sessions highlighted the many best practices and technology tools Maine-Endwell teachers have adopted, as well as topics centered around the district’s ongoing, and ever evolving, experience with technology integration.
Some teachers brought along students who spoke about their personal experiences in using technology in the classroom.
Thank you to Dr. Heitner, and everyone who attended the Mindfully Digital Conference!
