he new full size gym at Homer Brink will create more space for physical education classes, as well as a gathering place for all students. Right now, gym classes are held in both the gym and the cafeteria, with up to three classes at a time participating. In addition, lack of a large space prohibits the entire student body from coming together for educational activities and events. A large gym will allow students more space for physical education activities, and the addition of bleachers (seating for approximately 300 students) and larger floor area will provide much needed space for a variety of activities and whole school events.
The Capital Project vote will take place on Sept. 10, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the District Office Staff Development Room (Town of Union residents), and Maine Memorial (all other residents). #beaninformedvoter
