Superintendent's Update: May 1, 2020
Good afternoon Maine-Endwell School Community, this is Jason Van Fossen, Superintendent of Schools calling to inform you per Governor Cuomo’s executive order, students will not be returning to our school buildings for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.
We will to provide distance learning and providing meals until the end of the year.
We have been tasked with creating reopening plans that consider extracurricular activities, student safety, transportation and instruction that follow protocols already put in place by the New York State.
This is an unprecedented time for our Maine-Endwell students and families.
Our goal over the remaining weeks will be to continue with plans in place for instructional support and continued learning.
On our website we have identified various resources – academic, technology, and / or social / emotional support as needed.
Your building principals, school counselors and social workers, and teachers will be supporting you through the conclusion of the school year.
For our seniors, we are working on plans to honor and recognize your outstanding work.
For parents, thank you for your continued patience and understanding, we understand that a return to normalcy is in the best interests of all.
More specific information will be provided in the next several days and weeks.
