M-E lacrosse players make commitment to Div. II schools

Two Lady Spartan lacrosse players will continue their athletic careers at Division II schools in the fall. A joint signing of National Letters of Intent for seniors Kaitlyn Kopansky and Danielle Edwards was held on Nov. 29 at the High School. 

Kaitlyn will play lacrosse and study nursing at the University of Indianapolis. She has been a varsity starter since 9th grade; named to the fifth team NYSSWA All-State Team, 2018; and played for the Relentless Hustle Lacrosse club out of Rochester since 8th grade. She is the daughter of Gabrielle and Jeffery Kopansky.
Danielle will play lacrosse at Bloomsburg University and major in engineering or business education. She was selected to the Section IV Class C All Star first team in 2018, and to the section’s All Star  second team in 2017; and she was selected to play on Up-State Lacrosse team for the National Tournament. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Terrance Edwards. 
Both girls are NYS Scholar Athletes, are active in a variety of clubs and organizations in their school and in their community, and they share their athletic talent with youth lacrosse players.
