The district is working with the Boys and Girls Club and the United Way to come up with a short term plan (at least through the month of September) to provide services to families impacted by the Club’s closing. This would be until a permanent solution is created.
Families directly impacted by the closing will be directly contacted with information.

Former Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome School-Aged Childcare Program to start without interruptions September 4, 2019.
We are deeply saddened by the news coming out of the Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome. The positive impact the organization has had on the community has been far-reaching over generations.
The Maine-Endwell Central School District is collaborating with community partners to develop an immediate, short-term solution. Students who have been previously enrolled at the Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome School-Aged Childcare Program will be accommodated at the following location:

Programming will begin as scheduled on September 5, 2019. Further developments will be made available as we work towards a long-term solution to support our community’s families and children.
