Open for business! Third graders set up mini economies
Business was booming in Briana Burghardt’s third grade classroom on May 15. Students set up mini economies to learn about running a successful business.
The students are learning the fundamentals of coming up with a sound business plan, managing their finances, and how to balance supply and demand in order to turn a profit during their lesson on the economy.
Consumers (the students’ classmates) received $2 in play money to spend any way they wanted on the businesses which included games of skill and chance, and artwork.
