Students learn how to live a healthy lifestyle
Staying active and good eating habits keep us healthy. Maine Memorial students learned why exercise and good food choices are important when Megan Farmer from UHS Stay Healthy Kids visited their school.
The students learned how following the 5-2-1-0 rule can help them be healthy. That is 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day, 2 hours or less of recreational screen time, 1 hour or more of physical activity, and 0 sugary drinks a day.
Farmer offered ideas on ways the students could achieve those goals and the benefits of each.
