MM teacher Robin Brinsko is the April Teacher of the Month

Mrs. Brinsko and class

Maine Memorial teacher Robin Brinsko not only teaches the students in her 12:1:1 classroom the 3 Rs, she teaches her Spartans to believe in themselves. Thanks to her efforts, her students experience school as a positive place to grow, despite the challenges they experience. Congratulations to Mrs. Brinsko, the April META/Liberty Mutual Teacher of the Month!

Mrs. Brinsko was recognized by her entire class at Morning Program.

Mrs. Brinsko has a knack for finding her students’ individual strengths and interests and building upon them, said Emily Jordan, Lisa Wilson and Donna Rinkewich who nominated Mrs. Brinsko for the honor. “She possesses a sense of humor, and encourages her students to face challenges, and get up from stumbles, with an emphasis and expectation of effort, authentic reinforcement of success, and the ability to see the big picture of a child’s life, which allows the children in her class to grow not only as students, but as people,” they said.

Each month Liberty Mutual honors excellence in teaching within our district with the Teacher of the Month award. The award, sponsored by the Maine-Endwell Teachers Association, is given to a staff member who demonstrates the following leadership qualities: professionalism and excellence in and out of the classroom; commitment to the well-being of students; high ethical standards; and civic and charitable stewardship. Award winners will be nominated by their peers.
