Students spread kindness and cheer

Homer Brink first graders are showing kindness to area seniors. Students in Mrs. Buckley’s class made holiday cards for clients of Home Instead Senior Care.

The students met with Mrs. Kennedy from Home Instead to talk about the seniors and what they like. As part of the “Be a Santa to Senior”  program, the students used strips of paper with festive designs to make their card. They also included a message and drawing.As a class, the students adopted two seniors and will send them some small gifts to show that their community cares about them.
