It’s maple syrup season and that was the focus for this month’s AG in the Classroom lesson for Maine Memorial students.
The first graders and kindergarten students learned how syrup goes from maple tree to table. They learned how trees are tapped and sap is collected. They learned what happens at a sugar shack and how boiling turns clear sap to golden syrup.
Then the students were taste testers, trying maple syrup and maple cream. YUM!
