When peeps fly! Third graders learn about force and motion

girls with catapults

At the conclusion of their Force and Motion unit, third graders built peep catapults.

By building their devices, made from a variety of materials, the students learned how to magnify force.

Classes tested out their catapults in their school hallways. In the end, the students who stood atop the Peep Podium with the catapult which sent their marshmallow peep flying the farthest were: Alice Silvanic, first place; Nova Bernard, second place; and Gwendolyn O’Neill, third place.

Well done Spartans!
