Michael Koehler’s home base at the High School is the library, and that’s where he shares his expertise with his colleagues and supports the school’s students. His attention to detail, and commitment to our oldest Spartans, is why Mr. Koehler is the February Maine-Endwell Teachers Association (META) Teacher of the Month.
“Mike is willing to support ANY teacher at ANY time,” said fellow teacher David Beard. He added that Mr. Koehler’s efforts to organize materials for individual subject areas is very helpful.
“Mike’s level of professionalism is unparalleled. His attention to detail and continual offer to purchase books that teachers can use, makes him a valued colleague. Also, “Mike continues to find ways to make books accessible to the students.”
Each month (META) honors excellence in teaching within our district with the Teacher of the Month award. The award is given to a staff member who demonstrates the following leadership qualities: professionalism and excellence in and out of the classroom; commitment to the well-being of students; high ethical standards; and civic and charitable stewardship. Award winners will be nominated by their peers.
Congratulations Mr. Koehler!
