Dear Homer Brink Families,
I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful summer weather! Mr. Van Fossen recently announced that I am the
new principal at Homer Brink. I feel I have come full-circle as I began my
career at Homer Brink as a 4th grade teacher. I taught grades 3-5
prior to working at MEMS as the 7th grade literacy teacher. I began
my administrative career at Maine Memorial as the assistant principal prior to
transferring to Homer Brink where I was the assistant for 3 years. The past 8 years I have been the principal at
Maine Memorial. I have been a resident of Endwell for 27 years and my children
graduated from Maine-Endwell. I am a
proud Spartan through and through! I am looking forward to getting to know all
my HB families and welcoming the children back to school in September!
The capital project is moving forward as the crew is busy
working on the foundation of the new addition.
The ceilings are being prepped for the new heating/AC system that will
be up and running the 21-22 school year.
Throughout the summer months, BOCES food service will be providing
breakfast/lunch at 2 sites from 10-12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The 2 sites
are the high school at the pool area and Maine Memorial.
The district website will be updated throughout the summer
months so you will want to check that on a regular basis for the latest updates. All K-12 registration is completed online. If you have an incoming kindergarten child,
please go to the online registration to complete it. We are hoping to have kindergarten
screening this summer. We are waiting
for the state to update us with new guidelines that will allow us to screen our
students. Stay tuned as more information will come regarding screening.
I wish you all a healthy and safe summer!
