On October 10th and 11th, Maine-Endwell Central School District invites you to a two day conference, entitled “Mindfully Digital,” to showcase the district’s journey in technology integration in our schools. Maine-Endwell has been a frontrunner in educational technology, and has not only provided students devices, but has allocated resources, such as training and support, to ensure mindful use in student instruction. Maine-Endwell recognizes that to be prepared for college and careers, schools need to equip our students with future ready skills. This is why the district is committed to being mindfully digital. As pioneers in the area of educational technology, we feel we are in a desirable position to share our experience with other districts around the state who may be just beginning their programs.
What Sets Maine-Endwell Apart:
Maine-Endwell’s mission statement, “Delivering a premier education to each student,” isn’t just something we print on banners. We are committed to ensuring those words, and the behaviors they necessitate, are in action and on constant display throughout our district. This past year Maine-Endwell High School and Homer Brink Elementary were named New York State Recognition Schools by the State Education Department. In addition, High School Teacher Rachel Murat was named 2020 New York State Teacher of the Year. We are proud that on any given day, a visitor to any school in Maine-Endwell would see a multitude of professional best practices in a variety of educational settings. It is our fidelity to doing “what’s best for kids,” that allows and encourages us to seek progressive ways of implementing technology based on sound, proven educational standards.
On Thursday, October 10th, a regular day of student attendance, registrants will visit multiple schools in our district. At each school, they will visit teachers who will welcome them into their classrooms, in order for participants to get a first-hand view of what our program looks like “in real time.”
On Friday, a district superintendent’s conference day, all Maine-Endwell educators will be invited--along with our registrants--to attend a keynote and series of sessions presented by our teachers, among others, that will address a wide range of topics centered around our ongoing, and ever evolving, experience with technology integration.
