Budget Vote Details

Voting on the 2020-21 budget will take place by absentee ballot only.
 
Voting by Absentee Ballot
District residents in the Towns of Maine, Nanticoke, Newark Valley, Owego and Union will vote by absentee ballot only. Absentee ballots will be mailed to all registered voters.

Voter Registration
You are registered to vote if you voted in a district election within the past four calendar years and are on the county election list. The last day for voter registration is May 26, 2020. Any person not presently registered under permanent personal registration, or any person who has not voted at an intervening election since the last date of permanent registration, may register at the County Office Building, Binghamton. Print the NYS Voter Registration Form (available at www.broomevotes.com) and either mail or deliver the form to the Broome County Board of Elections Office. County Office Building, Governmental Plaza, Binghamton, NY 13901.

Voter Eligibility
You are eligible to vote on the school district budget if you are 18 years of age on the voting date, a citizen of the United States, a RESIDENT of the school district for 30 days prior to voting date. You DO NOT need to be a property owner in order to vote, but you must live in the district. For example, you are eligible to vote if you are a student or young adult over 18 who resides with parents, or if you rent an apartment or house in the district.
