2019-20 Board of Education Recognitions

Throughtout the school year, the district's Board of Education will recognize students and staff for their accomplishments at a public meeting.
Congratulations Spartans!

January 2020

The Board of Education recognized Maine Memorial school nurse, Sandy Nemcek, for all she does for her school's students through her duties as a nurse, but also behind the scenes, Whether it is a warm coat, holiday gifts, or new glasses, Mrs. Nemcek is alway ready to assist Maine Memorial students and their families when there is a need. She has an established relationship with community agencies and works tirelessly on behalf of her students.
Mrs. Sylvia Ward was recognized by the BOE for all the wonderful work she does as a volunteer in Mrs. Sherwood's classroom. In addition to helping the school's youngest Spartans with their letters and numbers, she helps them learn to tie their shoes, a milestone for every young child. She is a part of the Union Center Christian Church and she helps deliver gifts, and participates in game day, every holiday season. The one-on-one attention she gives children is priceless!
