Endwell Rotary seeks student, host families for youth exchange program
Endwell Rotary Club is looking for host families for its 2017-18 youth exchange program. Additionally, Rotary is offering a HS student the opportunity to study abroad during the 2018-19 school year.
Host families are needed beginning in August 2017 for a high school age student from another country. Families typically host the student for three months. An allowance is available from Rotary for the student’s personal expenses. It is an opportunity for both the family and the student to experience another culture.
Rotary is also offering a high school student the chance to study abroad through its Youth Exchange Scholarship Program. The exchange, taking place during the 2018-19 school year, will offer the participating student the opportunity to engage in an authentic, life-changing cultural experience. Tuition, room and board, and a small allowance, are provided by the host Rotary club. Exchange students must be between 15 ½ and 18 years old when they depart for their study abroad experience in August of 2018, and must not have graduated high school in four years.
