Spartans compete in regional Odyssey of the Mind competition
Maine-Endwell students let their creativity shine at the Odyssey of the Mind regional competition held March 18 on the campus of Broome-Tioga BOCES.

Nine Spartan teams competed at the event from Homer Brink, Maine Memorial and the Middle School. Five teams are advancing to the state competition after placing first or second for a specific problem in their division. States will be held on April 8 at Binghamton University.

From Homer Brink, Team A placed first in the problem, “A Superhero Cliffhanger,” and Team B placed first in “It’s Over, OMER.” From the Middle School three teams will compete in the following problems: “A Superhero Cliffhanger” (team placed 1st), “Odd-a-bot” (team placed 2nd), and “It’s Over, OMER” (team placed 2nd).

Congratulations also go out to the team from Maine Memorial which placed third in the problem “A Superhero Cliffhanger,” the team from Homer Brink which placed fourth in “It’s Over, OMER,” the HB team which placed fourth in “A Superhero Cliffhanger,” and the Middle School team which placed third in the “Catch Us If You Can” problem.
