Maine-Endwell named one of nation's "Best Communities for Music Education"
The Maine-Endwell School District has been named one of the nation’s “Best Communities for Music Education” for 2017 by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation. This is the fifth consecutive year the district has received this honor.
The Best Communities Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.
Selection is based on a variety of criteria including funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and community music-making programs.
The NAMM Foundation is a nonprofit organization supported in part by the National Association of Music Merchants and its approximately 10,300 members around the world. The organization’s mission is to advance active participation in music making across the lifespan by supporting scientific research, philanthropic giving and public service programs.
Congratulations M-E music teachers and students!
