Student run fundraiser will benefit Homer Brink parent
A spaghetti dinner fundraiser organized by HS Participation in Government students will benefit a Homer Brink mother battling stage 4 cancer.

The dinner will be support Debbie Guerin, district resident and the mother of 8-year-old twins who are in second grade at Homer Brink. Debbie attended Maine-Endwell Schools. Her husband Jesse, is a Class of 2000 graduate. Her father-in-law Bud Guerin is a custodian at Maine Memorial Elementary School.

The benefit will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Maine-Endwell High School Cafe, 750 Farm to Market Road, Endwell. Raffle items will be on display beginning at 3 p.m. in the HS gym. The dinner will include pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and drinks. Take out will be available. 

Cost is $8 for ages 13 years and up; $5 for children ages 6- 12; and children 5 years and under are free. Tickets can be purchased at the door, or in advance. To order pre-event tickets, email John Frieser at [email protected], or call 607-341-2758. Cash is preferred, but checks may be written out to "John Frieser." 

Students in John Frieser's Participation in Government class decided to host and organize all aspects of the fundraiser. In addition to the dinner, there will be a 50/50 raffle and basket raffles. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Ron McKan of RPM Entertainment. 

The event will precede the Night of Jazz Concert, beginning at 7:30 p.m., featuring the Middle School and High School jazz bands. The event is Mr. Linaberry's farewell concert.
