Mrs. Linaberry receives META Golden Apple Excellence in Teaching Award
For 21 years, Homer Brink teacher Patricia Linaberry has encouraged and educated hundreds of Maine-Endwell students. She is well-respected by her colleagues for her intelligence, honesty, insightfulness, objectivity, and for her voice of reason. Mrs. Linaberry works tirelessly on behalf of all of her students, and because of her efforts she has made a profound impact in their lives. For that reason and many more, Mrs. Linaberry is the 2017 Maine-Endwell Teachers’ Association Golden Apple Excellence in Teaching Award recipient.

The award is given annually to a person who exemplifies excellence in teaching at Maine-Endwell, significantly influences the lives of students, and contributes to the success of his or her school community.

In the classroom, Mrs. Linaberry revises her teaching strategies to fit the needs of her students, in order to ensure their success. She is described as the perfect example of the district’s first “filter for action” — she makes every decision in the best interest of each child. Among her colleagues, she is known for her integrity and her willingness to share her expertise with her others.

Mrs. Linaberry is an integral part of her school community, having served on her school’s building planning team, as a lead teacher, as a Homer Brink operetta director, and on the META retirement committee, among other groups and organizations.

The district is proud of Mrs. Linaberry’s accomplishments and her dedication to our youngest Spartans.
