HS and HB students partner for GiGi’s Playhouse fundraiser
High School students and fourth grade students from Homer Brink Elementary partnered for a sweet event to benefit our community members with Down Syndrome.
Members of National Honor Society, along with students in Tara Musa’s class, hosted a Dessert Cabaret on May 30 to benefit GiGi’s Playhouse of the Southern Tier. The students worked together to plan the event and solicit donations from the community. At the event, student musicians performed, and students served up treats, and sold raffle tickets. The High School art club made the table centerpieces.
The cabaret raised $1,450 for GiGi’s Playhouse. The organization offers therapeutic and educational programs to individuals with Down Syndrome of all ages and their families.
