From the Principal’s Desk….
Dear Maine Memorial Families,
We hope this letter finds all of our Maine Memorial Families doing well. We are all happy to have some nice weather upon us so that the students can get outside and enjoy our wonderful playground.
The NYS ELA and Math Assessments (grades 3,4, & 5) were recently given to the students. The 4th grade Science Assessment will be coming up soon. Everyone tried their best, and we are very proud of them.
We continue to have parents bring in cupcakes for birthday snacks. Please refer to the Board Wellness Policy as cupcakes are not a healthy treat. You may also refer to the Student Handbook for healthy choices. Items sold by the cafeteria may be purchased at cost for parties. We appreciate you following this policy so that your child can celebrate his/her birthday with a healthy snack for his/her friends.
We are in need to clothing items in our nurse’s office. If you have any of the following that your child has outgrown and would like to donate the item(s) to the nurse the following are needed: belts, elastic shorts, and boys’ and girls’ pants sizes 4-10.
The final day for students will be a half-day on June 17th with a 12:30 dismissal. Lunch will be served.
