Maine Endwell High School

The Maine-Endwell High School is a public high school located in the Southern Tier of New York State in Broome County. It is west of Binghamton, about one hour south of Syracuse, two hours southwest of Albany, and three and a half hours northwest of New York City. The district is conveniently located within minutes of Interstates 88 and 81, and State Route 17. The communities of Maine, Endwell, Newark Valley, Endicott, Glen Aubrey, and Johnson City make up the Maine-Endwell school district for a total district population of approximately 15,000 residents. The average gross household income for our residents is $46,200. Binghamton University and Broome Community College offer residents local, higher education. Cornell University, Ithaca College, SUNY Cortland, and TC3 also attract a large number of our students due to their proximity and excellent academics. Major employers in the area include Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, and NYSEG.

Final course grades appear unweighted on the student transcript. Course grades are weighted according to course difficulty only in the cumulative average. Honors courses (denoted with an ”H” on the transcript) receive an additional 5 points. AP classes (denoted with “A” on the transcript) receive an additional 10 points. All courses are included in the overall GPA except PE.
