This curriculum guide describes the courses offered to ninth through twelfth grade students at Maine-Endwell Senior High. It is a guide to help students in their present and future educational planning. Please read it carefully before making course selections regarding your sequences and programs of study.
This booklet is a program guide and the final responsibility of course program selection remains with you, the student, and your parents. The Guidance Staff has prepared this booklet with the help and input from the administration and teaching staff in an effort to provide you, the student, with greater understanding of our high school programs.
We are aware that no course description booklet can answer all your questions. Therefore, we encourage you and your parents to contact your guidance counselor for a conference to help you with your high school program.
School policy is for students in grades 9, 10, and 11 to enroll in six courses each semester plus physical education. Seniors enroll in five courses each semester plus physical education. Please note that certain courses are offered as electives for enrichment of students. Therefore, these courses are offered based on student request. Students will be notified of any deletions.
The Maine-Endwell School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, marital status, color, religion, national origin, or disability in any curricular programs. In the case of students with handicapping conditions, such programs shall be appropriate to a student's special educational needs as identified by the Committee on Special Education.
