To help ensure school safety, the district has added a new online “tip” reporting system. Quick Tip allows anyone to report issues that would threaten the safety of our schools or the district.

2,000! That’s the minimum number of minutes that each of these Maine Memorial grade 3 to 5 super readers logged in their school’s reading challenge between January and March.

Maine Memorial students are super readers! At the April 9 EK to second grade morning program, students were recognized for meeting their grade-level reading goals in their school’s Spartan Reading Challenge.

Enter Shannon Green’s classroom and you might see students reading in a camp chair, sitting on a milk crate, balancing on a stability ball, or standing at a tall desk. Green’s first grade classroom at Maine Memorial is one of several classrooms district-wide that now offer flexible seating options for students.

Making important decisions can be hard. So can resisting peer pressure. On March 25, High School YES LEADers traveled to Maine Memorial to share important leadership skills and substance abuse resistance techniques with fifth graders.
