High School Will Hold Financial Aid Night Print

Maine-Endwell High School will hold a College Financial Aid Night 6 p.m. Nov. 18 in the school’s library, 750 Farm to Market Road, Endwell.

Karen Taylor, senior financial aid advisor at SUNY Cortland will speak with college bound seniors and their parents about a variety of topics including the FASFA form, state and federal aid, loan programs, scholarships and financial aid related Web sites.

Benefit to Aid Family of Homer Brink Custodian Print

Homer Brink Elementary School will host a Pasta Dinner Benefit for the family of long-time custodian Jerry Falank. The dinner will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at Homer Brink, 3618 Briar Lane, Endwell.

Falank, an employee of the district for more than 20 years, passed away unexpectedly in September. He leaves behind a wife and three school-age children. All proceeds will benefit the family to help provide for his children’s education needs.

Dinners will be available for take out. The event will feature basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing and entertainment.

Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the school, 786-8244, or an advanced order form can be printed from the district Web site, and dropped off at the school. Click here for the order form.Tickets will also be available at the door. Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under 3 years. The maximum family cost is $20. Checks should be made payable to "M&T Bank - Falank Benefit."
