Maine-Endwell was among 112 school districts and BOCES across the state to receive the "2012 School Safety Excellence Award" from Utica National Insurance Group.

The district received a "Gold with Honors" award at Utica National's annual school safety seminar in March.

The awards program helps schools enhance overall safety through measurable assessment. School districts are evaluated in 19 categories that range from bullying prevention programs to playground safety.
